The Lime Shed

Located in northern NSW, hidden in the picturesque northern rivers hinterland, we boast soil and rainfall perfect for all seasons. Finger limes are native to our area and are our specialty but we also grow fabulous ginger and turmeric and garlic. Not to mention mouse melons and nasturtiums and any number of edibles.

Summer brings our finger lime harvest perfect timing for fresh finger lime in your G&T.

Autumn is time for the garlic to be planted. Children and grandchildren are all summoned to get their hands dirty and be part of the process.

​

Winter is fantastic because the mowing stops. Or at least slows down. The turmeric and ginger die back and are ready for harvest. The mornings are brisk to say the least. Midday winter skies are THE best! Bright Sky Blue from horizon to zenith, Grass Green cane fields and Shadow Grey ranges. Too good.

Spring is the growing season. Everything bursts to life. We are busy planting our ginger and turmeric and watching the grass grow before our eyes. Yes it's snake season too.
